About Versaperm

Versaperm manufactures gas permeability testing equipment, offers a comprehensive permeability testing service and a materials consultancy. These are used to measure gas permeability and leakage, important in medical and pharmaceutical packaging, foils and films, coatings, food and confectionery packaging and contents, and many other applications.

Instruments

Versaperm designs and manufactures instruments to meet each customer’s needs. Instruments are typically be based on a modular MkVI design.

Our laboratory testing service has over 30 years experience to enable us to choose the best technique to measure your sample's permeability both quickly and accurately.

 

Sensors

Our diverse and growing range of sensors are based on fundamentally different and divergent physical principals. The choice of the right sensor for an application is critical in the successful deployment of the equipment. We are not tied to a sensor manufacturer.

Gases / Vapours

At Versaperm we can measure the permeability for almost any gas / vapour including water vapour, Oxygen, CO2 Hydrogen, Helium, Nitrogen and Hydrocarbons.

Nitrogen (N) Permeability
testing


The Versaperm MKVI permeability meter instrument for measuring the Nitrogen permeability of materials is based on a modular approach which is designed to ease customisation. Thus, each instrument is built with a variety of options to suit the customer's specific application.

The instruments can be supplied with up to three standard sized measurement chambers, which are suitable for either for flat samples such as films, or for containers.

With the Versaperm Nitrogen permeability meter even low permeation rates can be measured quickly and with high accurately.



 

Nitrogen Permeability

We offer a range of Nitrogen sensors depending on the specific needs. We are able to custom build an instrument around precise needs.

We customise each instrument to meet the range required by the customer's application.

Nitrogen (N) permeability is the rate at which Nitrogen passes through a material sample.

Nitrogen permeability measurements are frequently used as a marker for general air permeation. Where the rate is very slow it can be measured by our manometric, gas chromatography or mass spectrometric techniques. At higher rates, pressure and flow measurements can be used.
