About Versaperm

Versaperm manufactures gas permeability testing equipment, offers a comprehensive permeability testing service and a materials consultancy. These are used to measure gas permeability and leakage, important in medical and pharmaceutical packaging, foils and films, coatings, food and confectionery packaging and contents, and many other applications.

Instruments

Versaperm designs and manufactures instruments to meet each customer’s needs. Instruments are typically be based on a modular MkVI design.

Testing Service


Our laboratory testing service has over 30 years experience to enable us to choose the best technique to measure your sample's permeability both quickly and accurately.

Sensors

Our diverse and growing range of sensors are based on fundamentally different and divergent physical principals. The choice of the right sensor for an application is critical in the successful deployment of the equipment. We are not tied to a sensor manufacturer.

Applications

Permeability is often the most critical factor in a material or component's performance. It determines how drugs to loose potency, food goes off, how paper both prints and jams in equipment, how seals work and it can even cause electronics to fail.

Hydrogen Permeability Testing

 

Hydrogen permeability Meter


Our Hydrogen Permeability meter is ideal for measuring the Hydrogen Permeability of polymeric films, laminates or laminate combinations of these.

The Hydrogen Permeability meter can measure to an accuracy in the parts per million range and is at least 100 times faster than conventional gravimetric techniques.  It can optionally be configured to measure the permeability virtually any gas, including Hydrocarbons, Water vapour, Oxygen, Nitrogen, Helium and Carbon Dioxide.

The Versaperm Hydrogen Permeability meter offers automated and computerised control. Multiple chambers can cope with several samples at a time - and still produce an accurate, repeatable permeability measurement in as little as 30 minutes for some materials.  The equipment is simple to use and needs, at most,very little re-calibration.

We also also operates a Hydrogen Permeability laboratory service to measure permeability of materials for Hydrogen in cases where the volume or logistics of measurements does not require a dedicated instrument.
