Versaperm, a world leader in water vapour permeability technology and measurements, offers three main products / services to an international market across many industries.

Water permeability has become increasingly important over recent years, with applications ranging from keeping food fresh and "unsoggy" in boxes, packages, sachets and bottles, through to drug delivery systems and packaging, testing building materials such as roofing felt and paint, and on to the paper and chemical industries, missiles, medical equipment and even contact lenses and pizzas!

Versaperm operates in three main areas - equipment sales, sample testing, and maintenance.

Manufacturing instruments: Versaperm manufactures an extremely sensitive WVTR meter that measures water vapour to an accuracy of better than one part per million. The equipment can produce results in as little as 30 minutes, compared with the days (and sometimes weeks) required by more conventional techniques. Additionally, the results are both more reliable and more accurate. The equipment allows users to measure water vapour transmission rates through materials, the leakage from containers, and the equilibrium relative humidity (ERH) of a wide range of products.

Sample testing service: With over 30 years of experience in the field, Versaperm has tested products and materials from almost every industry and walk of life. Plastic films and foils, paper coatings, architectural and industrial coatings, building materials from wood to concrete, pharmaceutical packaging, medical devices, bottles from eye-dropper size to 25 litres, industrial equipment, parts of missiles and food products of many types, have all been accurately measured with Versaperm's equipment.

Maintenance service: Naturally the company runs a comprehensive maintenance service for its WVTR meters - right back to the original Mk I version made in the 1970's, up to the latest Versaperm instruments currently in production. The company also offers a refurbishment service, upgrades and modifications for older instruments, and the purchase and sale of used machines.
