Airship and aerospace materials and their vapour permeability's

Safety is of paramount importance to the airship and aerospace industries and, in turn, vapour permeability is of paramount importance to safety.  Not just for gasbags but for fuel systems, seals, electronics, hydraulics, refrigerants and much more.

Versaperm's system allows Aerospace and Airship users to determine vapour permeability not just for material samples, but also for seals, components sub components or even entire systems.

This can be critical as manufacturing processes, such as heating and forming, can easily reduce the vapour permeability by a quarter, or less, of its original value.

Water vapour, aviation fuel, refrigerants, compressed air, hydraulic fluids and virtually any other gas can be tested, along with any material.

The Versaperm equipment can measure permeability over a wide range of conditions - temperatures can range from -80 C to over +1400 C, along with highly variable pressures, environments, partial pressures and humilities.

Accuracy is typically is in the PPM (Parts Per Million) range, with PPB (Parts Per Billion) for some materials.  Results are precise and highly repeatable.

Versaperm's multi-chambered system can measure several samples at a time and offers a simple, intuitive automated control panel with a large touch-screen interface.

As well as designing, manufacturing and supplying the equipment Versaperm offers laboratory testing and consultancy services.
