Versaperm, a global leader in permeability measurement technology, has unveiled new specialist instruments designed to meet the growing demand for hydrogen vapour testing in packaging and barrier films used across the electronics and optical industries.

With hydrogen playing an increasingly vital role in advanced manufacturing, particularly in clean energy, high-performance electronics and optical components, controlling hydrogen ingress and loss has become critical. Versaperm’s latest instruments offer manufacturers, researchers and quality control engineers the ability to measure hydrogen vapour transmission with exceptional precision.

Versaperm’s two complementary hydrogen permeability meters are engineered to suit a wide range of applications. One system employs a dedicated hydrogen-specific sensor and delivers fast, accurate and cost-effective measurements across materials such as polymers, high-barrier laminates and advanced encapsulation films.
